We began working on our Autumn / Winter 2011/12 trends back in January 2010, starting with discussion and debate among our legendary team of experts on our Trend Panel. As always, we begin with collecting social, economical, cultural and consumer behaviour information to build a picture of what we think the future will look like. We then process this into four key design, colour and material directions for our Home trend books, which we share with you below in our Trend Previews. These are snippets from our trend books, which are available directly from us (email firstname.lastname@example.org for prices and postage) or from our global agents.
For those of you who are small designer-makers, or independent retailers, we hope this provides you with some insight into the main trends and colours to help you make informed decisions about your products for next winter. Overall a great day which involved getting everyone's thoughts, ideas and reservations down on paper. I am looking forward to seeing how this information will be overlaid with the vital trend insights we need to drive new product development and long-term business growth.
