3 September 2019
We are counting down to Kind + Jugend 2019, the leading international trade fair for baby and toddler products. This week, we speak to our Baby & Kids Insight Editor Jenna Galley, who’ll be presenting at the Trend Forum together with our Head of Baby and Kids, Ruth Kelly.
Jenna’s presentation will explore what’s motivating parenting decisions, as well as social, cultural, educational and environmental factors affecting play, nurturing and entertainment.
What fuels your inspiration as Insight Editor at Trend Bible?
A cliché answer, but anything and everything. As a trend forecaster, I’m driven by a huge sense of curiosity. I’m always spotting, tracking and analysing newness and looking out for weak signals that might indicate a new trend, attitude or mindset. I’m also really inspired by my team. Working in a creative studio means I’m constantly immersed in new materials, moodboards and interesting discussion, whether that’s through our online Slack channels, weekly learning lunches or trend panels.
Tell us what you will be speaking about and why this is important for show audiences?
My presentation will answer the question ‘why do trends matter?’ I’ll be highlighting the key shifts shaping the industry as well as exploring the role of trends in bringing you closer to your customers.
This will be your first visit to Kind + Jugend. What are you looking forward to most?
I’m looking forward to sharing our latest insights with visitors as well as seeing some of the freshest designs and latest innovations in the Baby & Toddler industry.
Jenna and Ruth’s presentation at Kind + Jugend 2019 will be taking place on 19th September at 12pm and 4pm and again on 20th September at 11am in the Trend Forum. If you won’t be able to attend the show this year, follow us on Instagram and Twitter for live updates from the show.
