We’re firm believers in the insights, inspiration and sheer hard work that interns can bring, which is why they are such valued members of the team from day one. Every intern offers a fresh pair of eyes and is able to contribute something new. We pride ourselves on ensuring each and every intern gets to experience every element of our business, making it an equally rewarding experience for them and us.
We’re delighted to have three interns with us at the moment from Northumbria University who are getting involved in a variety of tasks and making such a wonderful contribution to our work.
Anna Stevens, Fashion Design and Marketing | Northumbria University
“Following on from the Trend Bible presentation at Northumbria University, I thought it would be a really inspiring and creative place to work. During my time here I have been involved in projects such as preparation for styling shoots, consultancy work and helping to compile the Home and Interior and Baby and Kids trend books. I would say preparation for the styling shoots has been the most enjoyable task at Trend Bible since it has allowed me to really get creative and “hands on” working with different members of the team including other interns. My experience here has also helped develop other key learning skills, for example, I have found presenting my work back to the team has really improved my confidence, as well as helping with consultancy work which has enabled me to understand how to produce work for a particular client.”
Adam Williams, Design for Industry | Northumbria University
“I applied for an internship at Trend Bible because I really wanted to advance my skills within the creative field but mostly in the research aspect. Trend Bible is all about being open minded and thinking ahead, so I was very intrigued at how the team approached this and wanted to learn more especially within the home and interiors sector. During my time here so far, I’ve been involved in various tasks from consultancy projects with leading brands and manufacturers to sourcing and creating props for styling shoots. I would say as an intern you are able to fully immerse yourself in different tasks so not every day is the same. You are also given full briefs on each task before starting, so you always feel like things are being done properly. It’s a very different experience from day to day life at university, as you are able to really understand the creative process from a business perspective and everyone’s role within it.”
Jessica Clark, Design for Industry | Northumbria University
“I decided to apply for an internship at Trend Bible because I wanted to further develop my skills within a home and interiors design environment. I have worked on several different projects since starting here involving styling shoots, image requesting, consultancy work, InDesign proposals and fabric cutting. My most enjoyable task being the styling shoots, especially the freedom I’ve been given to take my own direction on a trend featured in the Home Interiors SS21 Trend Book. My experience here has definitely helped improve my confidence skills, by presenting work to members of the team and other interns. Trend Bible also offers a one to one buddying system, which involves regular meetings with another team member to gain knowledge and support on any projects you’re working on, which I think is extremely helpful and valuable.”
