Wow…well aside from super-glued fingers, aching limbs and tired minds, the fruits of our labour creating trend features for London’s Top Drawer show were a success. A big thank you to the Top Drawer logisitcs team and to all the lovely exhibitors we met who were so supportive and shared their amazing products with us so that we could really demonstrate how to buy into our key seasonal themes at the show. Here are a few pics from the event itself.
In addition to the trend features, we also created mini trend guides that attendees could take away with them and help them navigate the show whilst keeping in mind the key seasonal looks. Our trend editor, Jill Hawkins, also delivered two seminars at the show, covering more in-depth reviews of the trends and what to expect in 2011.
At Trend Bible, we are firm believers in de-mystifying the trend process so that you can quickly identify and interpret inspiring, commercial trends that really will enliven your product range, increase sales and generate press attention. This is why many global retailers and blue chip brands choose to work with us.
The Top Drawer show provides us with the opportunity to share our background research, colour and trend concepts with small to medium sized retailers and brands, who we feel are often neglected by the trend forecasting industry as a whole.
Spring / Summer 2011 Vintage Vacation
We were thrilled to showcase up-coming luxury wallpaper brand Kate Usher Surfaces, in our Vintage Vacation feature we used her Sweetie wallpaper, and spent hours encrusting it with tiny diamante studs! The gorgeous ice cream van was a real show-stopper, many thanks to the guys at Russ Classic Ices for loaning the prop.
The gorgeous white wallpaper designed by Y&B from Studiomold adorned the walls of our Winter White story, big thanks to Paddy Otley for the styling assistance!
The gorgeous textile taxidermy magpies from Donya Coward were the real stars of this feature.

Overall a great day which involved getting everyone's thoughts, ideas and reservations down on paper. I am looking forward to seeing how this information will be overlaid with the vital trend insights we need to drive new product development and long-term business growth.
