Forecasting Change in an Uncertain World
We began this Home & Interiors Spring Summer 2022 trend forecast before the arrival of COVID-19 and the subsequent pandemic, but we’ve since revisited every aspect of this forecast, making sure the trend drivers, stories and colours all reflect the kind of world we will be living in by 2022. We’ve taken care to interrogate the social, economic and emotional impact of the pandemic, synthesising this with critical issues of the day – such as sustainability, emotional wellbeing and inclusivity.
Bridging the Inspiration Gap
With the cancellation of design shows around the world and so many of us working apart from each other, it’s never been more important for brands and retailers to find a way to bridge the inspiration gap remotely. So, we’ve also taken the time to reimagine our digital trend book with a specially designed format. We’ve elevated the user experience to offer more trend insight and design direction to inspire and guide you through the season no matter where you (or your team) might be working from.
Welcome to Spring Summer 2022
“As householders craft new post-pandemic behaviours, the home will need to function in a broader sense, accommodating home working and socialising but also providing a much needed place of safety. Relationships and emotional wellbeing form the central theme of all of our trends this season, from our connection to the natural world, to the power of positivity, community and the importance of quiet design. ” Naomi Pollard, Head of Home & Interiors
