As specialists in forecasting for the Home and Interiors market, we continually monitor and track the use of materials within the home. In this download we share an update on the key trends for wood from our Spring Summer 2017 Home and Interiors trend book.
Consumers are feeling overwhelmed with the pace of modern life and the constant connectivity of a digital lifestyle. There is a sense that by getting closer to our ‘natural’ state we will become happier and healthier. This is causing a desire to reconnect with the natural world. Homeowners are embracing organic materials to balance out the smooth and sleek tech objects and screens we use on a daily basis, allowing tactile objects to come to the fore.
This season, wood is finding its way into every category and is a prominent feature in each trend. We see opportunities to update new product ranges in furniture, decorative accessories, tableware and lighting.
