2026 Seasonal & Celebration Retail Trends: Tracking ‘Fruitful Lands’ 

A desire to connect to the sensorial, natural and spiritual worlds brings ancient seasonal festivals and pagan traditions to the forefront of festivities. Here, the agricultural calendar and the Wheel of the Year inform what and how we celebrate. 

Inspired by a melting pot of medieval fêtes and rural farming life, products and spaces transport party-goers to an era long ago. Designs are rustic yet elegant, with references to decorative pavilion tents, banquet-style dining and blackletter typefaces featuring alongside humble produce, such as wheat, rye, radish and radicchio. An array of ancient techniques, from engraving and relief printing to knotting and weaving, are revived and used to depict symbols of fertility and add a sensorial time-aged quality to decorations and gifting. 

What we said: 

A rise in seasonal and place-based eating, paired with continued growth in appetite for sharp and bitter flavours, sees radish and radicchio come to the fore; inspiring flavour, fragrance and form. Prints, serveware and decorations mimic their vibrant hues, veined leaves and irregular bulbous silhouettes.

What we saw: 

The radish was a key motif this season across the latest range by Deliciously Ella for John Lewis, featuring on serveware, kitchen textiles and gifting items.  

We also saw the radish celebrated in scented candles from Bath and Body Works and across tabletop accessories in Anthropologie. Following on from the tomato trend from 2025, showing an increased interest in seasonal foods.
