Home & Interiors Retail Trends: At-home Entertaining

At Home Hosting

This Autumn Winter season, householders are cherishing opening their homes and hosting in an elegant yet laid-back way, opting for at-home entertaining rather than going out.

Retailers have responded to this shifting mindset as tableware and cookware stood out as a key category focus. Plates, bowls and serve ware were used as a vehicle for trending colours and finishes while kitchen textiles add pattern to ranges.

Architectural Inspired Design

Classical shapes were observed across retailers, bringing a premium and elegant feeling across candles, vases, lighting and cook and dine categories. Beaded designs, a key micro trend in this story was spotted across furniture and decorative accessories at retailers such as John Lewis and Oliver Bonas, adding decorative detailing and dimension. Stores from multiple regions tapped into the colour palette of this trend, with rich shades of brown and stone-like taupes paired with sophisticated Ultramarine blue.
