Hosting Gifts
What will people bring to the Big Night In 2027? Think artisanal condiments, olive oils, non-alcoholic beverages, chilli oils, hot sauce, and posh pasta. We’re continuing to see the popularity of premium grocery shops, such as online marketplace Delli or New York-based deli Big Night, as consumers look to little foodie luxuries to elevate their potluck spread or meal-for-one.

‘Just Because’ Decorations
We’re seeing the rise of ‘Just Because’ decorations and ornaments, with householders putting up bunting, garlands and ornaments that are not tied to a specific occasion or celebration, marking a growth in opportunity for these categories. The Big Night In will see householders use low-cost and low-effort decorations to ‘dress up’ their spaces, making them feel special, elevating them from the everyday, or shifting the mood of the room.
