Salone del Mobile
The 62nd edition of Salone del Mobile, held in the Fiera Milano district in Rho from 16th – 21st will take place at Rho Fiero Milano from 16th to 21st April. Bringing “beautiful” and “well made” products back onto a uniquely important international stage and doing so with a new, bold, “out of the box” approach.
Fuorisalone
Nature takes centre stage in the 2024 edition of Fuorisalone: with “MateriaNatura,” Fuorisalone encouraging deep exploration of the connection between these two words and presented through a visually captivating campaign.
Ikea ‘1st’
For Milan Design Week 2024, IKEA is planning to delve into the experience of young people who are moving out of their homes for the first time. The theme of the event, titled “1st,” is a collection of stories from Gen Z creators about their first living spaces and the personal objects they cherish. The event aims to investigate the various influences shaping this new generation of renters.
Oases of inclusion’, Diwergo
This year Diwergo, founded by Antonio Giuseppe Malafarina, has created an exhibition promoting inclusivity and helping people understand diversity in all its forms. The exhibition will include five seats, each with a supportive aphorism suspended from its back, installed in Piazza della Chiesa di Santa Maria Incoronata.
Faye Toogood × cc-tapis and Tacchini
British designer Faye Toogood showcases a playful approach to design with her Milan Design Week 2024 exhibition. The collection of rugs is full of mischievous motifs, provocative forms, and bold colours for cc-tapis. The new Rude collection will be shown alongside Toogood’s first collection of furniture with Tacchini in a space dubbed The Rude Arts Club.
Future Impact
Future Impact 2 is a showcase presented by DesignSingapore Council and co-curated by Tony Chambers and Maria Cristina Didero. It will display new works by innovative designers from Singapore. Following the success of last year’s showcase, Future Impact 2 aims to present new approaches to materiality, design and production that tackle global challenges and offer solutions for a sustainable future.
