What is a Macro Trend?

A Macro Trend is a clustering of influences which can include a number of Mega Trends and calculable events.
Unlike overarching Mega Trends, Macro trends generally span across 2 years, drilling down into a more detailed hypothesis of how they will impact consumer behaviours based on timely social, economic and cultural cues.

As part of TrendBible’s forecast process, Macro Trends provide the foundational consumer mindsets for shaping design trends in Seasonal Trend Forecasts.
