In this post, we track the emergence of Paradise, a trend driven by the infectious spirit and energetic buzz surrounding Brazil. This tropical story invites children to explore the jungle paradise and learn about the diverse range of unusual plants, wild flowers, exotic birds and animals that live there.

Vibrant pink, green and blue shades remind us of hot, tropical jungles and their colourful inhabitants. Friendly toucan and parrot characters, as seen in Land of Nod and John Lewis, bring a bright and cheerful feel. Pineapple shapes used for lighting in Tesco reference the tropical setting of this trend. Storage baskets in West Elm are woven together, successfully interpreting the rustic and natural elements of this trend.

Tropical succulents are a key feature for Paradise, providing pattern and shape inspiration. H&M use fun, cacti characters on kids products whilst also offering a more sophisticated illustrative take on bedding and textiles. Trinket dishes get a stylish update in Oliver Bonas, using a hand painted interpretation of the key motif.
