What is a Black Swan Event?
A Black Swan is a metaphor for a random, unprecedented event, withmajor wide-ranging effects that are likely to change the course of history, for example, a pandemic or war. The Black Swan Theory was developed by Nassim Nicholas Taleb.
Whilst Black Swan events can’t be predicted, the outcomes can. Once the event has occurred, a series of scenarios can be forecast as the event cascades to influence various aspects of life.
