Elinor McCue is an up-and-coming textile designer and stylist having recently graduated from The Glasgow School of Art. Originally spotted at New Designers in 2015, we requested to feature her work in our Autumn Winter 2017/18 Home & Interiors Trend Book. Since then, we’ve been working with her on our exclusive styling and photography projects. We believe she is a creative talent with a bright future in the textiles and styling industry.

“When doing research I like to gather information from as many sources as possible; galleries, books, blogs etc. I also quite like to combine different trends and research to make new information. In my opinion the more varied the research the more exciting the outcome!” – Elinor McCue

With an eye for colour and detail, her work focuses on creating a contemporary interpretation of traditional embroidery. She uses a contrasting combination of man-made and natural materials, giving her forward thinking and innovative designs a unique look. Exploring diverse materials such as weave, print and knit she creates enchanting combinations of shape, texture and pattern. We look forward to seeing what the next few months has in store for this exciting designer.
